September brings the end of summer, but autumn awaits just around the corner. With this in mind, here are our suggestions for this month’s seasonal festivals. First, tune-up with everyone’s favorite brunch libation at the Bloody Mary Festival on September 14. Just head over to the SOMArts Cultural Center to sample some of the craftiest and most innovative versions of the cocktail and check out the crazy garnishes!

Next, get your happy face on at the day-long laugh-fest known as Comedy Day. Happening on September 15 at Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park, this free event will feature 40 comedians from the Bay Area and all across the country, so take some time to let your hair down and laugh out loud. Lastly, don’t miss Oktoberfest by the Bay at Pier 48 from September 20-22. This celebration of Munich’s annual beer festival will feature traditional German food, gallons of beer, and singing and dancing to the music of headliner Chico Bavarian Band and the Internationals, with traditional Bavarian dancing presented by the Nature Friends Schuhplattler.
